Marshall's "Together" Oldies Micropwer AM 1630/Keener 16

When moving from Michigan's West Coast (Fennville), I was saddened having to leave them with no radio. We had previously served them in a mile and a half radius and online. Now here, noting Marshall's local station now plays "Battle Creek's best Mix", I thought "why not?" So here we are at 1/10th of a watt, broadcasting to Marshall (we still have to fine tune, but we should soon cover most of the town). Join us for the type of music mix communities heard before music became "micromanaged" and enjoy the top hits of 1955 to 1980, no matter the genre. Welcome to Marshall's "Together" Oldies, Keener 16!

Our Broadcast History

The station's owner, Bryan Mix-Dean, was one of the last out the door of "The Cereal City Sound...WKNR-Keener 14" in Battle Creek. Ownership changes stripped it of local origination. His tour of radio jobs have had him on air playing music, anchoring and reporting news, in the production room (or closet in some cases), out on sales calls, anchoring high school sports, and running some management aspect of the station. He's looking to actually, someday, bringing at least 1000 watts of radio to the whole area (there's one for sale a couple hundred miles from here that we're looking at relocating - stay tuned). And he's worked in Marshall,  Lansing, Battle Creek, Kalamazoo/Otsego, Holland, Grand Rapids, Fremont, Muskegon, Benton Harbor, and Owosso in Michigan and in Columbus, Ohio and Elkhart, Indiana. How's that for being small-town familiar?

Mike Walker, our host of "Saving the 70s with Mike Walker" is a production genius, over 30 years in radio and radio production. Mike lives and works in Boomer, North Carolina and is the nicest of everyone on this list. His affection for all things 70s is infectious. Join him Saturday and Sunday afternoon at 4 PM!

Dennis Mitchell, our host of "The Rock Diary with Dennis Mitchell" is the long-time host of "Dennis Mitchell's Breakfast With The Beatles" and one of the most knowledgeable classic rock radio hosts in the U.S. And hopefully soon we can do Breakfast with Dennis soon. Dennis lives and works in Las Vegas, Nevada. You can hear Dennis with "The Rock Diary" Monday through Friday at 20 minutes past the following hours: Midnight, 7 & 9 AM, Noon, and 5 PM.
